The SV bands, orchestras, and choruses have been working hard this semester to prepare for their holiday concerts. Many groups performed their holiday selections last week, including the Show Choir and Band. There are also several concerts you can attend this week and next if you are looking for some music to get you in the holiday spirit.

Issac Hixon, who is a member of Concert Choir, the Madrigals, Show Choir, Men’s Choir, Jazz 1, Wind Ensemble, and the PMEA Honors band, said there are many musical ensembles participating in the upcoming concerts. “We have the middle school Jazz (7th and 8th grade) and there are two high school Jazz bands, Jazz 1 and Jazz 2. These are all auditioned groups. On Thursday, we have the 11-12 chorus concert. There are many groups singing at this concert, including the concert choir, Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, The Madrigals and both the Barbershop and Beauty shop Quintets,” Hixon said.

So if you are worried you missed out on all the musical holiday cheer, fear not! There is plenty of holiday cheer still to be spread in the upcoming weeks.
