The Seneca Valley 2021 Prom, organized by dedicated Senior Class Officers and determined faculty, is still set to take place on May 15 in spite of COVID-19 related challenges. 

“We’re trying to make it as normal as possible—it’s basically what we had at Stage AE, but outside,” Senior Class Officers Advisor Emily Christ said. “It’s more student-driven. Everything you see is the result of the seniors working together to create something great, whereas at Stage AE, it’s like a well-oiled machine.” 

Bri Buccini, one of two Committee chairs for Grand March, agreed.

“It’s going to be bigger and better, in my opinion. Ticket prices are lower, students won’t be getting home super late, and we also have surprises planned throughout the night, though we can’t reveal anything until then,” she said.   

Gargi Rane, member of the Grand March Committee, confirmed the addition of a dance area for attendees and relayed her excitement about the event.

“The main point of prom is having a place for seniors to gather and think about the good times of high school,” Rane said. “To come together and celebrate the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.” 

Buccini urged all questions about prom to be directed toward Senior Class Officers such as president Luke D’Ambrosio and vice president Max Van Wormer.
