The homecoming carnival held on Sept. 19 was a success! Nearly every Seneca Valley organization ran a booth to support their activities. According to Mrs. Mutschler, student council advisor, the success of the event had a lot to do with the terrific student council members. “The organizers of the carnival, Michael Kravec and Elizabeth Darville, worked all summer to communicate with club advisors and boosters,” Mrs. Mutschler said.
There was a large selection of food, games, and entertainment. Mrs. Mutschler was impressed with what the organizations had to offer at their booths. “Each group did an amazing job planning fun games and selling delicious food,” said Mrs. Mutschler.
During the parade, viewers enjoyed a lovely performance from our very own award-winning Roaring Raider Band and our JV and Varsity cheerleaders. There was a lovely turnout of not only students but also floats, too. We saw a lovely array of spectacular “Light up the night” themed floats, but it was the Orchestra float that won first prize in the best float competition. Congratulations!
The night was finished off with a firework spectacular behind NexTier Stadium. Mrs. Mutschler commented, “It’s a great way to bring the community together! The event was packed!”
What a great way to kick off the Homecoming spirit! I know I can’t wait for next year’s festivities!
